New York, NY (March 2017) – The freezer aisle is about to get a little bit cooler. Brother and sister team Daniel and Rebecca Dengrove announced on Friday that their craft ice pop company, Brewla, will merge with the healthy children’s snack company, Ruby’s Naturals, the creators of Ruby Rocket’s Frozen Fruit & Veggie Pops and Non-Dairy Yogurt Alternatives. As two of the superior icy, healthy treat companies in grocery stores, Brewla and Ruby’s Naturals will join freezer forces in an effort to offer consumers unique and exciting products that really stand out in the freezer aisle. “Ruby’s Naturals has built a terrific business and has quickly gained a large amount of distribution and solidified a strong and loyal following,” said Brewla Co-founder and CEO Rebecca Dengrove. “By joining businesses we expect to complement our brands and capabilities and build something much greater than the sum of its parts.” The brain (freeze) child of Daniel Dengrove, Brewla began in 2017 after Daniel discovered a void for one of his favorite childhood treats – an ice pop that was great tasting and healthy. Enlisting the help of his sister, Rebecca, an experienced food scientist, the duo set about creating Brewla Bars. By combining high quality teas, coffees and botanicals with fresh fruit juices, purees or hormone free organic milk, each Brewla flavor from the strawberry + hibiscus tea to the recently released cold brewed coffee melds an indulgent brewed base with rich health benefits. Following a similar philosophy, Ruby’s Naturals strives to provide an all-natural, delicious snack option for kids. Inspired by a green drink on TV, the founder of Ruby’s Naturals, Wendy Makkena, set out on a goal to eat healthier, eventually turning her mission into a company. Ruby Naturals, Inc., launched in 2013, is dedicated to helping children incorporate healthy snacks into their everyday routines through its innovative product lines. Designed to meet an array of dietary needs, Ruby Rockets Frozen Veggie & Fruit Pops and Non-Dairy Fruit & Veggie Blends feature less than 5g of sugar, plant-based protein, are all gluten and dairy free, and are available in multiple fruit-focused flavors. Now offered in stores nationwide Ruby’s mission is simple: creating real food that tastes as good as it is good for you. “We are excited to welcome Rebecca, Dan and the Brewla brand to the Ruby Naturals family,” said Ruby’s Naturals President & CEO Steve Davis. “Both companies have similar missions and philosophies making tired food segments exciting and healthy. Together, the combination of Ruby Rockets and Brewla will offer retailers two well positioned brands that deliver high-quality products which will drive consumer excitement in the frozen aisle.” The combined entities now working as Ruby’s Naturals will operate out of the company’s New York office on Fulton Street. Brewla Bars and Ruby Rockets will be maintained as two unique brands as the now merged company continues to expand its reach throughout 2017.
