Fire Cider’s Unsweetened flavor now Certified Vegan
Brand will be sampling at Natural Products Expo West

Pittsfield, Mass. (March 2017) — Shire City Herbals, parent company of Fire Cider, the daily apple cider vinegar-based tonics, announced today that the Unsweetened flavor of Fire Cider is now certified by Vegan Action.

Dedicated to providing USDA-Certified Organic, whole food health tonics, Fire Cider’s Unsweetened variety is made with nutrient-packed raw ingredients. This flavor is a mixture of certified organic raw apple cider vinegar, vegetables, roots, fruits and spices, but bottled before the addition of honey, in 8 oz, 16 oz and 64 oz sizes.

"Our mission is to make the most awesome whole food tonics possible and get them to as many people as we can," said Dana St. Pierre, Co-Owner at Shire City Herbals. "We would be remiss if we excluded the growing Vegan community over something as simple as not adding honey to our tonic."

In addition, the company is putting a comprehensive marketing effort behind the Unsweetened Fire Cider announcement to maximize exposure to vegan product-seeking consumers. Shire City Herbals will participate in vegan-focused events and implement a direct marketing campaign later this year.

The new labeling will help make it easier for those searching for animal-free products. The bottles bearing the Certified Vegan mark will roll off the bottling line late spring and will be available in stores shortly thereafter. The certifying organization, Vegan Action, is a national non-profit organization dedicated to educating people on a vegan lifestyle and helping identify vegan products.

Fire Cider can be found in over 1,800 natural and specialty food grocers, juice bars and retailers across the United States. Regional retail partners include Sprouts Farmers Markets, MOM’s Organic Market, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, New Leaf Community Markets and Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins.

The 2017 Natural Products Expo West is hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center, The Anaheim Hilton and Marriott from March 9-12.
