Description

Lisa Spicka has worked extensively in the United States, Mexico, Central America, and Brazil in the organic, food/ag manufacturing, and sustainability sectors since 1997. She has held operations, project and sustainability management roles for a spectrum of companies, ranging from non-profits to a multi-billion dollar corporation. In her roles, Lisa has led domestic and global initiatives that focus on food safety or triple-bottom-line program initiatives. As founder of Maracujá Solutions, Ms. Spicka uses her diverse background to help clients improve product and brand integrity. In particular, she specializes in helping clients develop and implement verifiable sustainable supply chain strategies. These strategies incorporate organic, food safety, sustainability, and/or fair trade standards. Additionally, Ms. Spicka works on the development of education programming with leading sustainability and organic organizations. These include Provender, Oregon Tilth, and the Sustainable Food Trade Association, where she holds the role of Education Director. She is a frequent speaker on supply chain integrity, including for the Domestic Fair Trade Association and the Global Citizen Forum. Ms. Spicka holds a Spanish degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and graduated cum laude from Thunderbird School of Global Management, with a Global MBA in sustainable supply chain management.
