In 16th century Belgium, the Van Dams started baking the family’s secret recipe waffles at county fairs. By the 19th century, they had bakeries in Brussels, serving their delicious Belgian waffles. In 1964, the Belgian Waffle was introduced to North America. Today, Van’s bakes specialty waffles from the original family recipe.
