EPIC Provisions to Showcase New Line of Jerky Snack Strips at Natural Products Expo West

Purveyor of regeneratively farmed, meat-based superfood products recently launched four new artisanal strips nationwide

AUSTIN (March 10-12, 2017) - EPIC Provisions, category leader of sustainably sourced meat-based products, will showcase a brand new line of premium Jerky Snack Strips at the 2017 Natural Products Expo West at booth #5854 from March 8-12 in Anaheim, California. Just launched in January 2017, the strips are available at Whole Foods Markets nationwide in four savory, flavorful varieties, including the first-ever Wagyu Beef, Venison Sea Salt Pepper, Salmon Smoked Maple, and Turkey Cranberry Sage.

The new Jerky Snack Strips offer a cleaner, upgraded version of a conventional meat snack stick. Unlike its predecessors, EPIC’s new innovations are made with high quality meats, including 100 percent grass-fed Wagyu beef and venison as well as 100 percent wild caught salmon and natural turkey. Each of the Jerky Snack Strips offers six to eight grams of protein, simple, all-natural ingredients, and are low in sugar.

Along with the Jerky Snack Strips, EPIC will also showcase the new Venison Sea Salt Pepper Bites, the most recent variety added to the brand’s line of Jerky Bites. A tribute to the “classic” venison jerky recipe, the Venison Sea Salt Pepper Bites contain pasture centered, grass fed deer meat paired with bold spices. The product launched nationwide at major retailers in January 2017.

EPIC’s Expo West booth will feature samples of the new innovations along with a life-size taxidermy bison, an iconic symbol of American history. The brand purchased the animal as part of its Whole Animal Project initiative to utilize regeneratively-raised and holistically managed livestock from “nose to tail.” Expo attendees will have the opportunity to watch an exclusive video produced by EPIC and NorthStar Bison gives consumers an inside look at the humane and respectful methods by which EPIC products are sourced.

As part of Expo West Climate Day educational programming, co-founder Taylor Collins will be leading a panel on the topic of “Positive Animal Impact; Healing Soil, Regenerating Land, Reversing Climate Change.” The panel will take place on Saturday, March 11 from 12 p.m - 1:15 p.m. Collins will be joined by fellow speakers Will Harris of White Oak Pastures, Chris Kerston of the Savory Institute, and moderator John Foraker, president of Annie’s Homegrown. The discussion will challenge the conventional vegetarian narrative, educating listeners about the numerous environmental benefits of regenerative and holistically managed livestock.
