This session explores the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) – its background, structure, and goals.  We’ll cover topics that will help you achieve compliance and we'll also discuss what the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has told us about how food, beverage and dietary ingredient companies should implement FSMA.  While FSMA itself is relatively straightforward, its regulatory requirements are not – so we’ll review some of the more challenging areas and pitfalls that companies experience with FSMA.   Finally, we’ll also draw lessons from the FDA’s enforcement activities so far and we'll make some educated guesses about how they could be affected by the current administration.
