Jessica Walden is a Material Specialist at the NOP in the Standards Division. Her roles at the NOP include reviewing materials that are used or petitioned for use in organic production and handling, drafting guidance, policy memos and instructions for the industry, and assisting with regulation writing. Prior to joining the NOP in 2015, Jessica worked at Quality Assurance International (QAI) where she was spent 10 years in a variety of roles, including Reviewer Supervisor and Senior Technical Reviewer. Jessica has also served on the Processor Advisory Council and Processor Review Panel for OMRI. She also worked in Australia for 10 years as an Organic Inspector and Certification Officer for National Association For Sustainable Agriculture in Australia. She has a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies from Adelaide University and a Bachelor Degree from UC Santa Cruz in Environmental Studies, Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture.
